INDIRECT / DIRECT COPPER CYLINDERS

Cylinders are manufactured to British Standards, and Kitemarked where stated. BS 1566 : Part 1 : 1984 Double Feed Indirect Copper Cylinders.
BS 3198 : 1981 Combination Tanks. BS 699 : 1984 Direct Copper Cylinders. Grade 3 - Test pressure 1.45 bar (21 p.s.i.) for 10 metre (33 ft) maximum working head. They comply with the proposed changes to Part L of the Building Regulations. The new cylinder specification, which the cylinders below meet, includes a Grade 3 cylinder with Grade 2 bottom, 35 mm thick foam insulation, the omission of the sacrificial anode, and a high recovery coil. Fitted with immersion heater boss.

Indirect Copper Cylinders

Indirect copper cylinders to BS 1566. Part 1 : 1984 made for use with wet central heating systems. All indirects have 2 x 1" BSP male primaries, 2 x 1" BSP female and 1 x 2.1/4" BSP immersion heater boss.

Indirect Combination Tank

Grade 3 made to BS 3198
Combination unit offering traditional open - vented stored hot water in the indirect pattern. By storing the cold supply, tanks can be taken from the loft space. Installation is made simpler without the need to run pipes to and from a cold cistern. The indirect combination tank has 2 x 1" BSP male primaries, 1 x 1" BSP female, 1 x 1/2" BSP female and 1 x 2.1/4" BSP immersion heater boss.
