The Gasguard manual control panel is quick and easy to install and provides basic non-proving isolation, when connected to a solenoid operated gas safety shut-off valve (please Click Here).
This control panel provides the versatility of interfaces such as remote stop, ventilation system interlock (using either P/N 17454 or P/N 17455, see below), and fire alarm, normally associated with more complex Gasguard systems.

Automatic System - Gasguard 1

The automatic Gasguard 1 system is quick to install and provides basic gas proving, and isolation, while at the same time giving the versatility of interfaces provided for the remote emergency stop button (please Click Here), extract ventilation system interlock (either with fan motor current monitor P/N 17454 or ventilation airflow sensor kit P/N 17455, see below), and fire alarm.

The interlocking systems are designed to interlock any mechanical inlet or extract ventilation system with the gas supply to enable commercial kitchens to comply with BS 6173 : 2009. The Gasguard 1 includes a master control panel, gas valve and proving assembly and requires the addition of either a fan motor current monitor or ventilation airflow sensor kit to operate as an automatic interlock system.

Commercial Kitchen Interlock System

Stand alone Gas Minder III interlock system pack (ISP-2) complies with the mandatory requirement (BS 6173: 2001) for commercial kitchens. The IP56 rated control unit ensures there is no gas flow to burners unless air extraction is present. Pack consists of Gas Minder III control unit, DPSA-20 differential pressure switch, DK-1 duct kit (tube and connectors) and remote emergency stop button. A gas solenoid valve is not supplied with this kit, due to varying sizes.

GAS PROVING SYSTEMS
Lapsafe

Labsafe PGLS001 is a gas pressure proving system for use in schools and laboratories. It features CE approved control panel and pressure transmitter, constant monitoring for low gas pressure, simple installation and commissioning, removable key switch for security, emergency cut-off switch, low power consumption. Can be used on Natural Gas or LPG. LED status indicators and connections for gas supply safety shutoff valve. Unit must be used with an EN 161 : 2002 approved solenoid or electro-hydraulic gas safety shut-off valve.

Cooksafe

Cooksafe PGCS003 is a gas pressure and ventilation proving system for use in commercial kitchens. It features CE approved control panel, pressure transmitter and fan pressure switch, constant monitoring for low gas pressure, isolation of gas if the ventilation fan fails, simple installation and commissioning, removable key switch for security and emergency cut-off switch as standard. Assists with kitchen approval to BS 6173 : 2009, low power consumption. Can be used on Natural Gas or LPG. LED status indicators, and connections to gas supply safety shut-off valve. 230 V AC KNOCK-OFF SWITCH

Emergency electrical knock-off button. Striking the red knob cuts the electrical supply.
Rotating the knob clockwise a small amount resets the switch. With P/N 13559 the knob is locked when struck, and then can only be released with a key.

Protected to IP 40. 230 V AC 10(6) Amps.
The switch used conforms to EN 60947-5-1.

ELECTRO-THERMAL LINK

The electro-thermal link is for installing in a position where a fire hazard may occur, e.g.
above a burner of an air heater or boiler. The fire will melt the fusible metal link and interrupt the electrical supply to either a gas valve or alarm etc. The link consists of a purpose built steel box with a perforated cover having a temperature sensitive fuse. The unit should be mounted so that the perforated cover faces downwards and ventilation holes in the sides must not be obstructed.

SPECIFICATION :
The link is electrically rated at 5 amps maximum on 200/250 V, single phase, 50 Hz and melts at 155°F (68°C). Dimensions : L 75 x W 50 x D 30 mm, complete with 20 mm conduit entry in one end.

THERMAL FUSE

The POWER LINK operates as a thermal fuse, through which the controlled circuit is connected. The fuse does not reset when the temperature falls. Cast iron case with perforated steel front cover. Screws directly on to a suitable M20 x 1.5 conduit fitting or pipe (not plastic) 0.3 to 1 metre above possible fire source.

Electrical rating : 230 V - 15 A max.
Fuse rating : open circuit at ambient temperatures above 72 °C (162 °F), non-resetting.

MAGNE-FLOW EXCESS FLOW VALVES

A sudden increase in gas flow closes the valve, leaving a small by-pass flow to re-establish system pressure. This permits automatic re-setting after the problem has been attended to.
