E6 Electronic Gas Meter

Electronic gas meter. Small, with no moving parts or diaphragms. Battery powered with minimum battery life 10 years. The battery is included with the meter. The meter has the same 1" BS 746:2005 connection (at the same distance apart) as the standard U6 meter (P/N 8129). It will therefore fit meter brackets and meter boxes which can be found by clicking the following link meter brackets and meter boxes. The meter displays in cubic metres. It is a conventional credit meter which is read from the display, (or through an optical communication port). It is not a pre-paid coin or card operated meter.
Reads in cubic metres.

Maximum flow: 6 m ³/hour.
Size: 23.5 cm W x 16.5 cm H x 9 cm D.

Turbine Gas Meters - Liquid Crystal Display

TBX Turbine meters give great economies in space and cost compared with a diaphragm meter.


They are ideal for monitoring gas consumption by boilers, burners, furnaces, etc. As well as cumulative flow, the LCD display will also give the actual flow at a given moment. It will also indicate trip flow. The LCD is powered by a lithium battery with an approximate life of seven years; connection to mains electricity is not required.


The meters are for indoor use and may be used for Natural Gas, LPG, nitrogen or air and may be mounted vertically or horizontally. Left to right flow is required for horizontal mounting. The fitting kits for the flanged meters (which need to be bought separately) include two flanges, nuts, bolts, washers and gaskets; the flanges have to be welded to the pipework. Display flow rates as low as 0.5 metres / hour.


Two built-in oscillation systems allow remote meter reading if required. The remote display unit we offer simply plugs into the turbine meter. The lead is 3 metres long.

These turbine meters are excellent quality, manufactured in Japan. LARGER SIZES ARE AVAILABLE.

VELOCITY : As meters read in cubic metres/hour, the gas velocity can be calculated using the internal diameter of the pipe.
PURGING : These meters are ideal for use when purging. The instantaneous flow rate reading enables the operator to check that the purge flow rate is continually above the recommended minimum. The guidance in IGE/UP/1 indicates that P/Ns 8313 and 17555 could be used for pipe diameters up to 100 mm, and P/Ns 8721, 15582, and 16488 up to 200 mm.

Turbine Gas Meters Mechanical Display
CPT Quantometer

Turbine meters suitable for Natural Gas, LPG (with low pressure drop to comply with the requirements of IGE/UP/2). Bodies manufactured from aluminium. P/N 17346 has a downturn ratio 10 : 1, P/Ns 17347/8/9 have a turndown ratio of 20:1. All are IP 65 rated and suitable for internal and external installation, however they must be protected from direct weather influences. The meters can be installed both vertically and horizontally and the index assembly can be rotated through 345º . A low frequency pulse output transmitter is fitted as standard and the meter can be connected to a remote display or BMS. It is recommended that a flange fitting kit be purchased ; these kits comprise PN 16 rated raised face flanges bright plated, clamping stud bolts, nuts, washers and asbestos free gaskets.
