Free-standing or wall-adjacent gas meter housing suitable for industrial, commercial and large domestic dwellings. Conforms to IGE/GM/1,IGE/GM/6 and Transco M9 specification. Fire rating to BS 476 Part 7 Class 2. Removable floor allows housing to be lifted on or off. Ideal for wide range of low and medium pressure meter rigs and modules. Specified by Transco and meter rig manufacturers. Colour: British racing green.

SEMI-CONCEALED METER BOX

Meter box for external use. Brown, made from glass fibre reinforced polyester. May be painted. Supplied fitted with brass meter box adaptor on the exit side, but without meter, governor amd other contents. This box is designed to accept only a semi-concealed meter with top viewing index (P/N 10320), or the E6 electronic gas meter (P/N 7354).

It requires specialised internal fittings, not a standard governor, meter connector, etc.

SEMI-CONCEALED GAS MULTIBOX

The Multibox is designed to be used with all standard U6 and G4 domestic gas meters. The meter box can be fitted up to 75 mm below ground level or on the wall and contains a metal meter bracket. Manufactured from glass reinforced plastic. Fire retardant to BS 476-7: Class 2. Colour : brown.

PLASTIC SLEEVES

To sleeve gas pipes as they pass through brickwork, particularly through cavity walls where protection against pipe failure is required by regulations. The seal may be sealed to wall and pipe with, for example, Purimachos FJC (below). Sleeves are just over 28 mm inside diameter, with a wall thickness of 2-3 mm. Available in two lengths.

PURIMACHOS FJC

A non-setting, weather resistant, non-flammable, stiff putty material which allows small movements without breaking the seal. Recommended where pipes and flues emerge through concrete, stone or brickwork; and for both external and internal flue pipe joints. FJC can also be used for sealing service pipes and conduits of all types through fire-rated walls. May be used for sealing the gap between a gas pipe and the sleeve through which it passes. Must not be used either where the pipe will be hotter than 250 °C (482 °F), or directly onto heating appliances. Manufactured in the UK by a BS EN ISO 9001:2008 registered company.
