OIL FIRE SHUT-OFF VALVES

Fire shut-off valves for use on oil burning equipment. The valves are installed in the oil supply pipeline to give shut-off in the event of a boiler fire or over temperature.

Peerless Thermostatic Fire Valves

The Peerless thermostatic fire valve is remote sensing as required by the fire protection association and OFTEC.
Complies with E101-1998 and BS 5410-1:1997 and BS 5410-2:1978. BSRIA and OFTEC approved. The valve is suitable for LPG up to 3 kW in addition to Class C (kerosene) and Class D (distillate grade) petroleum fuel. Flow 100 litres per hour at 2 m head. Non-electric fail safe valve, manual reset, remote sensing up to 12 m as standard. Available in 65°C and 90°C settings.

KBB Capillary Fire Valves

1/4 " BSP capillary fire shut-off valve. As required by BS 5410-1:1997 and BS 5410-2:1978. OFCERT licensed. Can also be used to protect LPG appliances of up to 3 kw. Manual reset button. Shut down temperatures are with oil supply pipe at atmospheric pressure. The phial is usually within the appliance with the valve externally mounted. The 90°C valves may be used for AGA cooking ranges converted from solid fuel to oil, because of the residual heat. Capillary lengths as listed below. Threads 1/4 " BSP taper female.

KBB/E Electronic Fire Valves

3/8 " BSP electronic fire shut-off valve which conforms to BS 5410-1:1997 and BS 5410-2:1978. OFTEC approved. Main body is flame retardant to UL 94 VO. Working temperature range -30°C to +50°C. A power supply of 24 V AC/DC with a running current of 220 mA maximum is supplied. Manual reset button. 2 core insulated UV resistant cable sensor. Connections to fire valve body for power and temperature are through DIN 43650C plugs and sockets; these are matched to avoid interchangeability. Operating temperatures 65°C or 90°C. Threads 3/8 " BSP taper female.

HANDWHEEL FIRE VALVE

Fusible handwheel fire valve which automatically cuts off the fuel at excessive temperatures. Alloy within the tap melts at high temperature which cuts off the fuel supply. The alloy which holds the insert in the handwheel complies with BS 799 and melts at 70 °C (+4° -0°). The valve will function as an on-off valve for the oil provided it is treated carefully. With 3/8" BSP female threads, and also nuts and olives to give 10 mm compression inlet and outlet.

FIRE VALVE KIT

The lever action fire valve is held open by a flexible wire in which fusible links are placed. These will shear at a temperature of 160°F when the valve will then be snapped shut by heavy spring pressure.
