AQUADIS WATER METERS
AQUADIS + is a robust, compact piston type volumetric water meter, designed for metering in residential applications. Approved Class C and D in any position. Copper alloy body. Compliant to BS 5728 for cold potable water meters and EN 14154:2005 for water meters. Meters can be fitted in any position; all have BSP threads, maximum working pressure 16 bar, maximum operating temperature 50°C.

PULSED WATER METERS FOR REMOTE READING

Pulsed hot and cold water meters are used in the monitoring of consumption, usually linked into energy information systems in, for example, factories, apartment and office blocks.

The meter bodies are made from cast copper alloy and are of the vane wheel - multi jet type. Maximum recommended operating temperature for cold water meters is 50°C, and 90°C for hot water meters. The meters are fitted with pulse output devices and the index unit can be rotated 360° for easy direct reading. These meters need to be installed with 5 pipe diameters of straight pipe before the inlet, and 3 after the outlet.

REMOTE DISPLAY UNIT FOR PULSED WATER METERS

The remote display unit comprises a counter housed in an IP65 rated, wall mounting ABS enclosure fitted with a cable gland. The counter is self powered and is operated by the proximity or reed switch in the meter to which the counter is connected. The counter can be operated with or without a remote re-set function.

HEAT METER KITS

Itron CF Echo II

The CF ECHO II is a compact ultrasonic heat meter suitable for solar, hot and cold water installations with electronic data processing, producing a dynamic range exceeding Class C. Flows can be measured from Qp 1.5 to 15 m3/h (DN15 to DN50) with stable accuracy. The meter kit consists of a lithium battery powered energy calculator with Mbus/pulse output, two temperature sensors with 1.7 m leads and an ultrasonic water meter with BSP threaded unions, nuts and washers. Energy calculator can be meter or wall mounted within 1.3 m with signal cable supplied and its lithium battery has a 10 to 12 year life depending on usage. Itron CF51

The heat/energy meter kit assembly consists of an integrator, 2 x temperature sensors and 2 x immersion pockets. A pulsed meter (for example one of P/Ns 13766 to 17962 above, to be purchased separately) is installed in the flow or return pipe and counts the volume of water. The signals from the flow meter and the sensors are transferred to the integrator, which then calculates energy consumption. The heat/energy meter is designed to calculate the consumption of heat/energy in power networks from 100 W to 30 MW, where water is the heating or cooling medium. The integrator operates with mechanical, magnetic and ultrasonic flow meters. Designed to operate in heating and/or cooling systems of flats/ apartments, public and commercial buildings, schools, universities and hospitals.

WATER METER INSULATION

The Meter Cozy is a thermal glove designed to insulate the manifold or any upright body type of water meter. Not requiring any electrical source it is a "passive" means to meet with Water Regulation 4.4 requiring insulation to "keep the heat in".

BACKFLOW PREVENTION SYSTEM

The Groundbreaker™ NRv² has been designed to be fitted in series into any concentric meter port as found in boundary or wall mounted water meter boxes. WATER SERVICE DUCTING

Water service pipes are recommended to be laid down to a depth of at least 750 mm.
