Bostik Sealant

British Gas plc installation instructions recommend that with a fire-resistant surround in position, a gap of less than 9 mm around the opening should be filled with the sealant Bostik 1581. Bostik Bond-flex 100 HMA Silicone Sealant has replaced 1581. It is a single part, high-modulus, clear acetoxy-type silicone rubber sealant. It is not suitable for use with acrylics, polycarbonate, brass, copper, or lead.
