They are safety devices. They are designed to prevent flashback, and to contain or extinguish a flame where the gas being purged or vented could be accidentally ignited. They are essential safety equipment for the protection of plant and personnel from risk of fire and explosion. They have zinc alloy pressure die-cast housings and stainless steel 316 arrestor elements and are fitted with aluminium weather hoods. Flame tested to BS EN ISO 16852 and certified according to ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.
