A meter bracket is designed to suspend a gas meter, using the two male threaded bosses on the top of the meter. Specially designed meter unions and adaptors with grooves in them (P/Ns 0980, 0981, 0982, 20353 or 0217) are slid into the slots in the meter bracket and the meter is then attached to these. A security washer and shear bolt should be used to prevent unauthorised removal of the meter union or adaptor from the bracket.
The meter brackets may be fixed to a wall, or to the floor-mounted bracket (P/N 6229).

Inlet and outlet accept P/Ns 0981, 0982, 20353 or 0217 (giving 22 mm capillary male, 3/4" BSP taper male, 28 mm male/22 mm female capillary or 1" BS 746 male threads respectively).The above bracket (P/N 6000) will accept G4 and G6 meters – P/Ns 8293, 18410 and 18411.Each item is supplied separately, so please order bracket, security washers, shear bolts, unions or adaptors and BS 746 rubber type washers as required.
