How to use Oyster converters

As mentioned above, the brass Oyster™ converter is an easy-to-fit termination connection for use on heating and potable water systems. The Oyster converter connects copper tubes to female threaded fittings, radiators and valves. The converter features two EPDM ‘O’ rings, one sealing the tube o.d. and the other the fitting face. The Oyster is retained on the tube by dimpling the tube end with appropriate pliers, such as our popular plier for Oyster fittings.

The female fitting needs to have a flat sealing face; otherwise, a traditional thread sealing method should be used.
