Tempering Valve Safety Temperature Reduction 1" BSP
Tempering Valve is a safety device designed to protect against scalding at outlets primarily used for personal hygiene. It is designed to control temperature in water mixing applications and safely reduce temperature to between 55 and 60°C. Can be used in systems where the water in the storage cylinder can reach temperatures significantly above 60°C, for example if heated by solar heating. Can be used with multiple outlets and frequently as part of a re-circulating domestic hot water system. Supplied with check valves and strainers. Max. inlet pressure ratio: 2:1. Min. temperature difference between hot water inlet and mixed outlet for best performance: 10°C. Min. flow rate for stable operation: 6 l/m. Certified to BS EN 15092, Type 2 Adjustable temperature and WRAS approved.

BES Ltd., British Standard Pipe Thread Identification Chart.
BSP – This is an abbreviation used for British Standard Pipe threads, and the size refers to the nominal bore (or internal diameter) of the steel pipe the thread was originally designed for, not the diameter of the actual thread. Please measure your maximum (or major) thread diameter in millimetres and use the chart below to identify the BSP size you need.
Further advice can be obtained from our Technical Team if you are still unsure.
