Caleffi Tempering Valve Safety Temperature Reduction - 22mm
Tempering Valve is a safety device designed to protect against scalding at outlets primarily used for personal hygiene. It is designed to control temperature in water mixing applications and safely reduce temperature to between 55 and 60°C. Can be used in systems where the water in the storage cylinder can reach temperatures significantly above 60°C, for example if heated by solar heating. Can be used with multiple outlets and frequently as part of a re-circulating domestic hot water system. Supplied with check valves and strainers.
Specification:
Max. working pressure: 10 bar static, 5 bar dynamic.
Max. inlet temperature: 90°C.
Max. inlet pressure ratio: 2:1.
Min. temperature difference between hot water inlet and mixed outlet for best performance: 10°C.
Temperature setting range: 45 to 65°C.
Set water temperature: 55 to 60°C (when certified).
Accuracy: ±2°C.
Min. flow rate for stable operation: 4 l/m.
Body material: DZR brass, chrome plated.
Certified to BS EN 15092, Type 2 Adjustable temperature.
