Why are some brass fittings nickel plated?
You'll notice that many products on offer are nickel plated. This is sometimes done when the person working on installation knows that the system will benefit from added corrosion protection. If you're replacing fittings at home, and notice that the likes of an equal tee have a lot of green blips and spots, it's a sign the fitting has corroded, and nickel may help prevent this in the future.
